The
Mission of the Jewish Music Outreach Foundation
is to raise awareness of Jewish heritage and culture through
the introduction and exposure of individuals to the richness
and beauty of ancient Hebrew texts. We will produce and distribute
modern musical arrangements of these texts -- from sources
such as Psalms, Song of Songs, and other Bible texts -- recorded
by some of the most respected artists of our time.
We will enlist popular musical artists to record classic Hebrew texts in their own unique styles. Distribution of this work will stimulate a desire for further education and study into all aspects of Jewish heritage, culture and practice, as well as cultivate a greater acceptance and understanding of Jewish culture with people of all backgrounds.
Our mission includes the promotion of messages of peace and harmony within these ancient texts. The theme of peace and harmony between peoples and cultures is important to both artists and their fans. Focusing on these themes will uplift and draw people closer together, reaffirming that religion can, and should, be a unifying force -- and not be used to separate and dehumanize peoples of different faiths. |
